Headed down to Quartzsite today. Got here in time to set up, get a tank of water, eat a nice chicken salad and see the sun set…

Quartsite is a huge gathering place for snowbirds. We got a great spot at the far end of HiJolly BLM, we try to get as far away from everyone because of our 4 dogs. Just before we left Havasu we ran into some friends i met last two winters down here, they are from Colorado, just happened to park near us during the evening on there way to Quartzsite, small world. Tempature about 80 day 60 nite.

Our new homestead for a bit, couple miles north of Quartzsite. It’s on BLM land, Hi Jolly camping area.

A bit of history, Hi Jolly was hired by the US army in the mid 1800’s to manage camels as an experiment in the desert.

This area was also used as a huge military training area during WW2 run by General Patton. You can still see where there camps where set up throughout the desert and old tank trails.
Be glad your not in Klamath, been in the teens!!!!
