Been boon docking here in Quartzsite for several months now and we are getting ready to leave in a few days. Kinda got a bit behind on our blog as well. Waiting for a package then we will head towards Lago Vista TX to spend a bit of time with my sister and her son Ryan. Its starting to get warm here and the snakes are coming out, don’t like snakes..lol. Have had a great time here for sure meeting up with old friends, meeting new friends as well, exploring the desert, checking out the big RV and Outdoor show (the big tent), Silly Al’s Pizza (best pizza ever), camping with Suzy’s son and Mel for a few days (they got a new 5th wheel), and just enjoying the sunshine and warmth in general. Can’t believe we have been gone for 5 months already.
We left Quartzsite around 8 am and made it to Lordsburg NM, about 8 hours, couple hours too long for one day. Anyway there is a nice Veterans park on main street just outside of town where we parked for the nite, great place with picnic tables, trees, shade, BBQ pits and its free.
Second day on the road made it to Saragosa TX, found a nice rest area to stop for the nite.
Made it to Lago Vista TX yesterday, probably stay a couple weeks, $15 a day with hookups right on lake travis. Folks are really friendly around here. My sister and here son Ryan also live around here.
Well it seems they are closing the campground where we are at, but we can stay, got the entire campsite to ourselves. Guess we will hang out for a few more weeks and see if things calm down out there.

Truly amazing how we can make time go by when we are doing things that are enjoyable and without a timeline! I am enjoying your travels vicariously, since we are now living with someone who is struggling with the dreaded alzheimers! Travel safely, friends, and keep in touch! Cheers Abe
